The brand new spa hotel of the category first class superior St. Joseph ROYAL REGENT was built on the site of a former spa house for priests built in 1889 and run under the name Kurhaus St. Josef. The pride of the hotel, one of few which were opened all year round, was a precious chapel consecrated to Saint Joseph. An old legend has it that this saint's intercession with Lord God helped to treat patients who were mainly dignitaries of that time- the turn of the 19th and 20th century. High church dignitaries stayed here, such as Cardinal van Rossum from Holland, the Viennese cardinal Piffel, Archbishop Count Zichy, the Romanian bishop from Temeszvár or the Prague cardinal Karel Kašpar. The Federal Chancellor Ignaz Seipel from Vienna, too, used to like the St. Josef Kurhaus.
